About Me
I'm Josh, to your left is my family, and this is basically my media biography. I've had a strong passion for all things media since a young age, both personally and professionally. By 12, I was creating mix tapes from the radio. At 18, I was recording entire TV series onto VHS for a profit. I own a degree in broadcasting that I obtained while managing the college radio station and creating TV programs. I worked in FM radio for 5 years. I went back to school for a degree in digital media. I built a very successful entertainment website where I also worked as a photographer for well over a decade. I was hired as a web developer for a startup company 10 years ago and became a literal online jack-of-all-trades before eventually transitioning into data analytics.
In recent years, reselling has become my favorite hobby. What do I buy and sell? Well, physical media of course — records, cassettes, CDs, VHS, DVDs, and the electronics that play them.
Quite often, I will find someone's memories at these sales — boxes of old photographs under a bed or a hard drive with thousands of photos now forgotten. A couple times, the photos have exceeded 100 years old! These experiences have encouraged me to take the skills and knowledge I have often used in preserving my family's memories and offer them to others. Let me be the one to help you preserve your history.
